RideCheck Vehicle Inspection Terms and Conditions

These terms and conditions govern the provision of pre-purchase car inspection services by RideCheck Vehicle Inspections to its customers. By booking our Services, you agree to be bound by these terms and conditions. Therefore, it’s recommended that you carefully review the inspection report and conduct additional inspections as necessary before finalising your purchase.

Service Description

  • We will conduct a comprehensive inspection of the vehicle specified by the Customer prior to its purchase.
  • The inspection will cover various aspects of the vehicle’s condition, including but not limited to mechanical, electrical, and structural components.
  • We will provide a detailed report outlining the findings of the inspection.

Booking and Refund Policy

  • Customers can book the Services through our website or by contacting our customer service team.
  • Customers are required to pay the full amount at the time of booking to secure their reservation.
  • Cancellations made more than 24 hours before the scheduled booking time will receive afull refund.
  • Cancellations occurring within 24 hours of the stipulated time will result in a $50 deduction from the refund amount.

Inspection Process

  • RideCheck technicians perform visual inspections of vehicles to document exterior damage. Please note that the vehicle’s body may be dirty or unwashed during inspection.
  • Our inspection report does not serve as a roadworthy certificate or warranty for the vehicle. The authenticity and verification of the vehicle are the sole responsibility of the buyer.
  • RideCheck does not guarantee any previous repair history or structural integrity of the vehicle.
  • The final visual inspection at the time of the sale transaction is the buyer’s responsibility.
  • RideCheck is not liable for any damage or condition changes to the vehicle after inspection.
  • We are not responsible for intermittent faults that do not occur during our visual inspection.
  • RideCheck conducts visual inspections only and does not perform mechanical assessments.
  • We are not responsible for defects that were inactive or not visually apparent at the time of inspection.

Customer Obligations and Responsibilities

Our inspection does not include checks on the following items:

  • Water pump/fans
  • Timing belt condition
  • Engine cylinder compression
  • Transmission mechanics
  • Anti-lock braking system
  • Reasons for oil leakage
  • Brake lining material
  • Brake drums
  • Wheel cylinders
  • Vehicle electronics
  • Catalytic converter
  • Owner modifications or additional accessories
  • Gas emissions
  • Oil pumps
  • Sludge buildup
  • Fuel consumption
  • Reasons for water leaks
  • Audio-visual or entertainment systems such as CD, TV, DVD players, or navigational systems.

Customer Obligations and Responsibilities

  • Customers must ensure that the vehicle is available and in a suitable condition forinspection.
  • They should provide accurate information regarding the vehicle and any specific areas of concern to facilitate the inspection process.
  • Upon receiving the inspection report, customers are encouraged to review it thoroughly and seek clarification whenever needed.
  • It is the customer’s responsibility to conduct additional inspections or seek professional advice if deemed necessary before finalising the purchase of the vehicle.
